Teavent 2018: TeaRevv Day 20 Snowballs

“SNOWBALLS: Rooibos, Papaya & Almond Pieces, Cake Sprinkles*, Natural flavours, *(Cake Sprinkles: Sugar, Millet, Rice flour, Vegetable oil, Corn starch, Gum & Cellulose gum, Colour R, Confectioner glaze, Carrageenan, Soy lecithin, Red#40 Yellow#5 + #6, Blue#1 dye / Vanillin, Soya, Lecithin, Food Jelly, Acedic Acid, Silver balls E174)” [source]

In my teacup today is my nineteenth day of Christmas teas from TeaRevv. Today’s selection is Snowballs. This blend was deliciously sweet and fruity. The mellow rooibos tea was complimented with fragrant pieces of papaya and almonds. The almonds were the overriding flavour, and scent, and most likely were included in the list of “natural flavours” giving this tea a slightly synthetic cherry bakewell flavour. I enjoyed the cute little cake sprinkles added into the loose leaves, but found the fine leaves to be a tad annoying as they escaped out of my infuser and settled around the cup… making for a slightly chunky tea!
