Teavent 2018: TeaRevv Day 5 Achoo

ACHOO: Lemongrass, Liquorice – people with hypertension should avoid excessive consumption, Chamomile, Lemon pieces, Gynostemma.” [source]

In my teacup today is my fifth day of Christmas teas from TeaRevv. Today’s selection is Achoo. When first opening up the little packet of leaves the scent of this blend hit my senses with a strong medicinal punch! It reminded me a little bit of an earthy version of a lemsip, so I was a little worried that it was going to taste terrible!! Luckily, I was pleasantly surprised! While the herbals were fairly strong in this blend, Achoo was quite flavoursome, but it did taste like I was going to feel better soon!! The only issue was the little bits of tea that strayed out of the infuser and floated around the cup. I served mine with a little trickle of honey that helped to sweeten out the strong liquorice flavours. I also really liked the cute penguin in a sweater illustration on the packet!!
